Aleksandra Yasinowski
Aleksandra Yasinowski is a Canadian artist living and working in Saskatchewan since 2013.
Born in 1982 and raised in communist Poland, she was immersed early in a culture that valued discipline, craftsmanship and reverence for fine art. These formative experiences continue to shape her artistic voice.
Working primarily with oil paint, Aleksandra creates abstract works that explore emotion, memory and meaning beyond language.
Painting, for her, is not a decision but a recognition. It begins with the want to paint - the first thought in the morning, the moment when the mind finally feels free, when there is a quiet certainty that now is the time. Creation happens naturally, unfolding through instinct and sensation. The studio becomes a place of comfort and release, where lived experience is translated into surface, weight and gesture.

"My abstract oil paintings explore emotion and meaning beyond words. Through layered color, texture and intuitive movement, I create works that invite quiet reflection rather than narrative. Influenced by an early reverence for fine art, my practice focuses on presence, depth and personal interpretation."
